If you've ever taken one of our bikes for a spin on the River Parks River East Trail, chances are you've seen some pretty neat plant life. On July 27, 2021, one of the most iconic trees on this trail, lovingly known as the Rainbow Tree, sustained trunk damage and had to be cut down. Riding bikes and walking under this remarkable landmark brought many trail users much joy, and became part of many great memories. In an attempt to remember and turn this sad event into something positive, This Machine is hosting a virtual fundraiser in partnership with Tulsa River Parks to help raise funds for both Tulsa River Parks and This Machine Tulsa Bike Share.
This Machine has made 20 exclusive Rainbow Tree trivets using repurposed cuttings from Tulsa's Rainbow Tree. Several local partners have also generously donated items, tickets, gift cards, and more. We have curated 4 unique gift packages, which can be yours with a donation. All of the unique baskets include donated items, a Rainbow Tree woodcutting, and 10 hand-printed cards. There are also a limited quantity of "Rainbow Tree Only" packages. The first 20 donors will also receive another little surprise!
